From Our Family to Yours!

At our Camden Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, “family-owned” is more than just a label. Family is the heart of everything we do!

Our team is led by Dr. Brian, Dr. Varsha, and Dr. Kent, three doctors who share a deep commitment to the health and happiness of our community. We understand firsthand the joys (and the occasional bedtime-brushing struggles!) of parenthood.

We treat every child who sits in our chairs with the same patience, laughter, and high-quality care we would provide for our own kids. When you join Camden Pediatric Dentistry, you and your child are more than simply patients on the schedule. You’re a part of our extended family.

We can’t wait to watch your children grow up with healthy, confident smiles!

Dr. Brian Han, DDS, PhD

Dr. Brian is passionate about pediatric dentistry because he loves taking care of children’s teeth in a fun and friendly way. His goal is to create a positive and enjoyable experience for kids while providing the best dental care possible.

He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees from The Ohio State University. After that, he completed a specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry at Case Western Reserve University and Rainbow Baby and Children’s Hospital, where he was proud to serve as chief resident. On top of that, he holds diplomat status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, making him board-certified in this field.

Dr. Brian is also dedicated to giving back to the community and sharing his knowledge. He often volunteers at local events offering free dental screenings and treatments in the greater Columbia area and beyond. He enjoys giving seminars to residents and fellow dental professionals about various pediatric dentistry topics. Dr. Brian is an enthusiastic member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, South Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, South Carolina Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Brian loves spending quality time with his wife, Heather, their three kids—Katie, Joey, and Ella—and their dog Mocha. They are all actively involved in their local church, which brings them lots of joy. In his spare time, Dr. Brian enjoys running, cycling, playing video games, and exploring the great outdoors!

Dr Varsha Dr Kent

Dr. Varsha Kapoor, DMD

Dr. Varsha Kapoor believes every child deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and maybe even a little proud when they leave the dental chair. Her approach is simple: treat every patient the way she would want her own children treated, with patience, genuine care, and plenty of high-fives.

Dr. Kapoor has a natural gift for connecting with kids, especially those who come in nervous. With specialized training in behavior management and pediatric dentistry, she’s skilled at turning anxious first visits into moments of courage and laughter. She takes particular interest in children with complex behavioral needs, and parents consistently note how quickly she puts even the most hesitant kids at ease.

She earned her Master’s degree in Biomedical Science from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, her DMD from MUSC, and completed her pediatric residency at East Carolina University. Her clinical focus centers on preventive care and minimally invasive treatment tailored to each child’s needs.

Outside the office, Dr. Kapoor spends her time with her husband and two kids, Kendall and Carter, who she says are her best reminder of why this work matters. She enjoys traveling, experimenting in the kitchen, and making the most of family time.

She looks forward to meeting your family and making every visit something your child actually wants to come back for.

After graduating from dental school with honors — Omicron Kappa Upsilon — he pursued his orthodontic residency program, also at Howard. During residency training, he conducted extensive research work in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, some of which served as the focus of his thesis.
